Magnolia Road Lives Up to It’s Reputation. Jenny Simpson’s the Bomb!

Coming off the Boulder Canyon I saw the Flotrack workout. I read Running With the Buffaloes. I heard the stories. I’d never run Magnolia Road.Sunday, in some sort of a cross between self-sacrifice and stupidity, I decided that my long run should be up Mags. I had my wife, Linda, perform familial last rites, packed my car with the essentials and headed to Boulder. The key word here is Sunday. While… Read More »Magnolia Road Lives Up to It’s Reputation. Wikipedia says, “February 29, known as a leap day in the Gregorian calendar, is a date that occurs in most years that are evenly divisible by 4, such as 2004, 2008, 2012 and 2016. Years that are evenly divisible by 100 do not contain a leap day, with the exception of years that are evenly divisible by… Read More »It’s Leap Day: Take the Leap!

What is Peak Performance?

  • by

I like the quote used in our last blog post https://richsandsseminars.com/2016/01/2016-a-peak-performance-year/ from Neotherapy that went like this: ““Peak performance is the maximum enhancement of all mental, emotional, physical and situational elements that let us reach optimal level.” Again, It’s not just physical, not just the act of “doing” something at your best effort. It’s a combination of elements that cause us to deliver a peak performance. Greg Wells, PhD, said this: “Peak… Read More »What is Peak Performance?

Why Does a 91.8% Full Glass Seem Half Empty?

335 to 30! That’s a crushing margin. If someone, or some team, won any kind of game by that much, it would be an overwhelming slaughter. 335 would rule the day (year)! Then, why am I so upset about the 30? I ran on 335 of last years 365 days. That’s 91.8%. I should be pretty happy about that. As you can probably guess, it’s the 30 that is bugging the crap out… Read More »Why Does a 91.8% Full Glass Seem Half Empty?
