In an industry filled with advice, trends, and noise, Rich Sands helps real estate professionals slow down, think clearly, and make better decisions.
For more than two decades, Rich has stood in front of classrooms asking a different question than most instructors.
Not “What should agents do?”
But, “How should thoughtful professionals think in this situation?”
That simple shift changes everything.
As an internationally recognized instructor for Council of Residential Specialists (CRS), National Association of REALTORS (NAR), and leading real estate organizations, he has taught tens of thousands of professionals across North America, Guam, Italy, the Caribbean, and beyond.
His work is trusted not because it chases what’s new—but because it helps agents decide what actually matters.
Rich doesn’t teach agents what to do.
He helps them decide what deserves their energy.
Rich’s classes are engaging because they respect the intelligence of the audience. Rather than overwhelming professionals with scripts, shortcuts, or hype, he helps them develop better judgment. His goal isn’t simply to provide answers. It’s to help people ask better questions.
Long before teaching real estate, Rich earned a master’s degree in counseling—a background that continues to shape every class he teaches.
It taught him that lasting change rarely happens because someone simply hears another great idea. It happens because they begin seeing situations differently. Whether the conversation is about negotiation, listings, marketing, business planning, or navigating change, the objective remains the same: helping professionals think clearly, act intentionally, and remain professionally grounded—regardless of the market.
Simply put, Rich Sands delivers education that orients people, not just motivates them. Education that builds confidence, not dependence. Education that lasts. Because when professionals think more clearly, they perform at their best.
Outside the classroom, Rich is a lifelong runner, having logged more than 127,000 miles over nearly six decades. He lives in Colorado with his wife, Linda, and their English Cream Retriever, Winston.

"I can honestly tell you that you have a special gift and I am thrilled that you were the one we chose to teach because you touched a lot of lives in just two and a half days. How many people could keep 51 people engaged for 2 days and those people love you so much that 41 of them sign up on the spot to see you again in October??!!? Thanks you for everything!! I really think you’re the best!!! I love education and your class was by far the BEST class I have ever taken!!!" - Dede Markle, Trussville, AL
“I had a million things going on before I started a 2 day class that was orchestrated by some wonderful sponsors and my good friend Carol Murphy, to then be blown away by the wonderful class of peers & students that were apparently as eager as I was to learn from a teacher that I have not been as impressed with for many years. What a stand up guy and a great orator; who can and will make a difference in my career. Learned a lot and enjoyed it! Way to go Rich Sands, God Bless.” - Tony Apotsos, Cleveland, OH
